SoundtoChat.com — Push-to-Talk & Hotkeys 'companion.py' Script
=========================================

1. Install Python 3 if you don't have it: https://www.python.org/downloads/

2. Open a terminal in this folder
     On Windows: Select the address bar at the top of Explorer window and type:
	wt -d .
     Don't miss the period.
     On Mac: In Finder right click this Folders Title at the top center of the Finder window;
	Select Services -> New Terminal at Folder.

3. In the new Terminal window run this command:
	pip install -r requirements.txt

4. Now you can run this command:
	python companion.py
     Sometimes requires you to use `python3` instead of just `python`

5. Leave that terminal window open while you use the soundboard page.

Step 1 and 3 only need to be done the first time.

macOS: the first run will prompt you to grant your terminal app permission
under System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Accessibility. Grant it,
then restart the terminal (Step 2).

Windows: some anti-virus tools flag key-press-simulation tools like this
one — that's expected; allow it if prompted.
